It is a fitting tribute for the ministry organization that has placed sung worship at the heart of their events and outreaches, often giving a platform to young worship leaders as they took their first fledgling steps. Case in point, Tim Hughes, who led worship at numerous Soul Survivor events before becoming the director of the London-based Worship Central training school that now reaches 60 nations.

Founded in 1993 by Mike Pilavachi, who then served as a youth worker at a church outside London, the first Soul Survivor event drew over 1,800 young people. Today, Soul Survivor's four summer events draw tens of thousands of teens and young adults with the purpose of equipping and training them to impact their communities for Christ.

"It's always incredible and humbling to see thousands of young people meeting with Jesus," says Pilavachi. "… our main job, as always, was to try not to get in His way."

Referring to the worship at Soul Survivor events, Pilavachi adds: "As we've worshipped, God has healed us, brought us to repentance, given us hope, restored our broken hearts, and taken away our pain… and most of all, He's told us time and time again how much He loves us."

The Soul Survivor 20th Anniversary Collection, which is available through iTunes and Amazon, features live, original songs recorded at Soul Survivor events and led by Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, Delirious?, Ben Cantelon, Kevin Prosch, Beth Croft, Rend Collective and Tom Field among others. The 30 tracks were taken from the full range of Soul Survivor live albums and include favorites like "Undignified," "Beautiful One," "Break Our Hearts," "Love Come Down" and "Consuming Fire."
